In the world after active addiction...
The worst thing that happened when my life was eaten up with alchoholism (active addiction) and debilitating pain was that I was too blind to see the world as it was around me. And waking up to this world was at once refreshing and heartbreaking when I saw the wake of my actions, and the actions of some people who were once very close to me. Ending addiction doesn't mean there are going to be fuzzy ponies -- at no point does sobriety offer you fuzzy ponies (well, perhaps on Leap Year).
Sometimes there is no going home, and that means the people who were that 'home.' And it sucks but it is how it is if I want to stay in recovery.

Well, here we go again...
have been starting some random blogs in recent years because, when I was employed in the newspaper biz, I was a moderately successful local blogger in Central Jersey and I really started to enjoy the format. Well, now, no one is paying me for doing anything but I still like to blog and, apparently, you showed up to read my nonsense. Well, no one is invited here so if you stay it’s all on you and not me. If you don’t like what you are reading then leave – please. I need criticism from you like I need a hole in my head. These are the ground rules, speak amongst yourselves. lol
